silent treatment

I moved to this town 2 years ago. There were 4 radio stations that had conservative talk shows. Now there is only 1.

I noticed that most of the FM stations are Spanish speaking, and they play crappy pop music all day long.

Like the Deep State and the Left, we are being encroached on all sides, just like the President.

Is it too late to even have a civil war?

rules for radios

Posted in conservatives, radio, talk radio with tags on April 21, 2011 by Word-Drum

The second tier of Talk Radio: Mark Levin; Laura Ingraham; Michael Medved; Dennis Prager; Hugh Hewitt; Hannity; Michael Savage; all have many good qualities, but most of them too often break the Rules for Radios.

We are asked to sit through endless commercial spots. In my small western town the spots are all made by the local business owners. They never hire annoucers, producers or composers. They start every ad by saying “HI!.” Their voices grate on this transplant from the East.

I’d rather be waterboarded than listen to that, or most of the ads on TV and radio (including that gay android that comes on NPR every few minutes).

When the actual content portion begins, we don’t want more advertising and self-promotion from the host. Being ordered to their website, or repeated hawking of their latest book, breaks the Rules For Radios, and causes disengagement by the beleaguered listener.

The connection with the listener is broken when we are treated as mere consumers shopping for products and services.

The top tier of Talk Radio is it’s inventor, Rush Limbaugh. He remains in a league all his own. Variety might be the spice of life, but Rush gets to the red meat when dissecting the Left. The spices aren’t that important.

His montages alone (where the libs all use the same words and phrases on the same day) shine the light (on loan from God) on the commies mendacious conspiracy.

The Big Guy has more content and less ads than the others. His voice is large and robust, and only pauses for effect. Others stammer (Ingraham, Prager), or sound like they are going to die (Levin).

A professional broadcaster is prefered but the rule can be suspended if the host is accomplished and offers a special brand of enlightenment, and can also make you laugh like The Great One.

One host who tramples on the Rules For Radios is Michael Savage. It’s impossible to listen for more than a minute or two without him breaking the rules. Even though I’m a Jewish Right-Winger from New York, I can’t understand how anyone but his mother could enjoy listening to Savage.

Rule # 1: Talk Radio should be live. His show is always a day late or more. Much can happen in 24 hours. When he shows up, Savage mostly hawks his books and talks about how he so great.

Rush never belittles other hosts, the mark of a gentleman. Here the name change to Savage fits for Mr. Weiner. He goes from moments of brilliance, to boring boasting. It’s a rollercoaster ride to Crazy Town.

A producer’s hand could make the shows better, but they have to
contend with the dual demands of the sponsors and the host’s large egos (a neccesary quality that must be held in check, or dealt with humorously like El Rushbo).

Medved is a solid broadcaster and the show is well done. Here it is more personal. I appreciate his dose of reality and moderation, but I identify with the Sarah Palin wing of the Republican Party. It’s more my heart than my head, but none the less, she inspires me and Moderates don’t.

The Republican Party’s great asset, Hugh Hewitt, also does a great job, but there are too many ads. Even though hosts and their staffs have mouths to feed and tuition to pay, rules are rules (for radios).

RULES FOR RADIOS  BUY IT NOW!

“This seminal work will pave the way for the next stage of conservative talk radio.” The Quiet Listeners Union

Some third tier hosts just repeat the same thing over and over (Bill Cunningham) and just have authors on to sell books. Or they are motor-mouths like Jerry Doyle, or boring old men like Neil Bortz.

The solution for the lower tiers is to buy the new book Rules For Radios. Go to my website and befriend me on FaceBook, visit me at MyButt and FakeBook… follow my tweets… the book says it all and it’s halarious, RULES FOR RADIOS…

(Enough already! Right?)

I’m like Johnny 5 when it comes to Talk-Radio. Give me input.

I could read it on line but musicians are more sound oriented than are robots.

Rush takes me through the week(with a sprinkling of Levin, Medved, Ingraham, Humphries and others).

Sundays (late morning) used to go to Gun Talk, but now it’s back to New York WABC to listen to Aaron Klein Investigative Radio.

You can listen to the podcast here

Aaron speaks very clearly and never stammers like other hosts(who are not Rush). He often scoops the rest of the media as a journalist. His bumper music is terrible(House), but he gives lots of good input.

Aaron Klein is followed by another promising new show on WABC Radio: Jason Mattera, Brooklyn’s answer to B. Hussein Olinsky. Check it.

talk radio feelings

Lately I’ve been in a Savage Nation mood. I still think Rush is first and second in Talk-Radio. But Savage is talking about Kagan in his inimitable way. The rules are Jews can talk about Jews, and Blacks can talk about Blacks, etc.

I have scorched the Google and Alta Vista trying to find the name of an activist for the International A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition(commies who love Islamists). I remember one with the name Kagan who was active in the New York area. I found nothing. If anyone knows about this please leave a comment. That I did not find it on Google means nothing. The scrubbers are always out. Bless the little Stalinists.

It could have been Elana herself. This court could one day rule on our very existence as a free republic. She is a disaster. “Standing on principle” she kicks the Military off campus. But that was her policy from her days in the Clinton Administration!

And what’s wrong with Don’t ask, don’t tell? I like the sound of that. It’s none of my business and who cares anyway!

The main thing is that the Military, for the most part, doesn’t want to change it.

I can’t repeat enough that liberals are nuts. I think it’s all based on hatred. They hate everything but themselves. That too, they have ass backwards.

                  Wedding Bells for El Rushbo

I thought Rush said action should be taken if he ever marries again.

We can’t do everything he asks. We just wish Kathryn and him well. He told us listeners he was buying a new dog. She looks pretty good to me.

Barry has got to give it up to Bobby Jindal and people like the former President of Shell Oil, John Hofmeister. Jindal, a most effective Governor, is not being supported by the regime for crass political reasons. This is a crime against nature. It exposes the wretchedness of the Chicago Way. It might work in Chicago Land…

Hofmeister is also very impressive, like Governor Jindal (unlike Obongo). He has many solutions to soaking up the oil. I’ve heard many callers to Talk-Radio with their own ideas which come from experience in the Oil Industry. They all know more than the President of Party Central at the White House.

What do you think is Barry’s drug of choice?

It’s definitely in the cocaine family.

It’s hard to listen to the hissing liar. But when I do, I can’t help think he’s high.

It’s a lifestyle choice. But isn’t he working for us?

Radio Talkers all want his space

Others sound ill or not like radio pros
it’s an intimate medium that will expose

Booming voice ever modulating
right in so many ways, but never grating
Ending segments with a wry zinger

Air America has been cut but Hair America is growing like a full bodied bouffant. The new radio network will feature Rod ‘Presley’ Blogojevich and John ‘Slip & Fall’ ‘Baby Daddy’ Edwards. They are in negotiations with The Donald.

Air America was hard to listen to and the hosts had bad to mediocre hair. Hair America promises to leave you feeling silky smooth and will give the confidence to achieve all your goals, no matter how sordid, and still be considered as a possible Presidential candidate for the Democratic Party.

I wrote an email to the talk show host Laura Ingraham. I was thrilled to get a quick reply. The Great Ones can also be the nicest. (The Great One himself, Mark Levin, also wrote back to me.)

Laura should definitely take over The Factor and replace O’Reilly. Need I say that I love Laura, the work she does, and believe that as good as her radio show is (her boys do a great job producing it) she is even better on TV.

She brought to the attention of her audience another tragic “honor killing” incident happening in my State of Arizona. The first beautiful girl pictured above:

The victim, 20-year-old Noor Faleh Almaleki of Surprise, remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Dave Gaubatz was the guest (author of the new book Muslim Mafia). He has been working to expose CAIR, who could be like ACORN: the latest acronymed organization under extreme fire (God willing).

Update:
I’ve spent about ten seconds in the last five years watching MSNBC. I happen to see they were talking about the above mentioned book. It was that guy Maddow’s show. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve seen on TV since watching the Towers fall from my apartment in Amsterdam.

Needless to say, it had to do with a character assault on the author and any who would tell the truth about CAIR. Mr. Madcow was joined by a piggy Muj who would use Political Correctness to destroy us. Burn in Hell MSNBC.

why rush rules

Have you noticed how the egotism of the TV or radio host grows with their ratings?

But Rush Limbaugh started with a healthy large ego and has remained consistent. Giving the listener EIB and balancing his bravado.

On TV, O’Reilly the Moderate, lost me a long time ago.(Three Cheers for Laura Ingrahm!) But now even Glenn Beck is growing tedious. The more their shows become about them, the worse they get.

On radio, Michael Savage is the worst. I used to hear some moments of brilliance on his show. He was very good with callers.

Broadcasting is like life: All things in moderation. The essential ego needed to do a talk show must remain in check. But Savage is like a crazy person and makes me nervous.

When we are plagued by commercial breaks every few minutes, to be selling your book all the time during the show, is bad form. So is trash talking your competitors. Rush never does that and has shorter commericial breaks than the rest.

Having been a DJ has served El Rushbo well (so has Paul Shanklin whose Obama imitation is priceless) and is no reason to mock the King of Talk Radio.

Mark Levin first came on the air in New York City on WABC. It coincided with my return to America and the New York Area.

9/11 and the election campaign I came back to follow and vote in, had turned me against the liberals and their pukie candidate John F-ing Kerry.

Mark is funny and passionately serious too. His breath of knowledge and experience in the legal profession and in government, is a great resource to the talk radio audience.

This listener is drawn to a world where the Military, Police and Emergency Services workers, families of the 9/11 victims, Gold Star and all the families of the Troops, are not forgotten…

Where our fundamental right to liberty, handed down to us, is reinforced and not forgotten, for more frivolous matters.

The informative radio show is presented by the amusing grouch Levin. It is 5 star Talk Radio.

IranianDemocracy-X

Ahmadinejad is a conservative according to NPR.

worddrum-48Isn’t that enough of a reason to bomb Iran?

I usually listen to Rush. Before that (half awake), I hear some of Laura Ingrahm. Her voice used to bother me. But I like her a lot and think she does a great job replacing the repulsive Bill O’Reilly on Fox News.

During the commercials, I sometimes turn to the androgynous NPR. Perhaps I am becoming immune to them. Normally I cringe at their coverage of the Islamic World.

When Rush played a clip from NPR today, I realized I had just heard it live and hardly gave it a second thought. Their reporter was comparing Ahmadinejad’s constituency to Republicans and Evangelicals.(WTF!)

The sham election (big surprise the little monkey won, he was the Mullah’s choice), took place because of The President’s speech (according to liberal thinking). The only reason Ahmajihad won is because of Republican-like people in Iran. Makes perfect sense if you are a drone.

I don’t know what’s going on inside liberals. All I know is they hate Republicans and conservatives.

I see them as they are, not as they see themselves. They think they are angels but they are devils. I just don’t understand why they are good. What makes liberals so good and correct?

They are traitors who always side with the enemies of freedom. They believe anything the Left says and don’t know what conservatives say or think. I don’t care about them nor care to be in their control.

That Liberalism is a danger to us all is clear. Obama will use the libs to enact the dreams of his drunk-driving, suicidal father, Frank Marshall Davis, Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and AlGore.

talk radio hip hop

Posted in talk radio, word-drum with tags , , , , , on March 31, 2009 by Word-Drum

thumbnailca6ee40yBoasting was a mainstay of Rap Music. I don’t know or care if it still is since Hip Hop has lost its appeal to this music lover.

East Coast West Coast rivalry reached a violent peek with the shootings of Biggy Smalls and the last truly great Hip Hop artist, Tupak Shakur.

Boasting of ones skills was part of the dance and those with skills did this with humor and in a way that fit into the form. The drive-by shootings were not the music. This went beyond boasting, the law,  and the form of music called Hip Hop.

In radio there are certain laws. Break these laws too many times and the quality of the broadcast suffers. As I have written, ego is essential to success. Word-Drum never forgets the Greeks: “All things in moderation.” Excessive ego in a radio talk show hosts poisons the other important issues and messages raised.

The King of Talk Radio has a near perfect balance of ego and decorum(the laws of radio). Rush never insults the other talk show hosts. Mark Levin, who I love and respect, however, does too often dis other hosts in competition with him. This is boring.

I’m starting to listen to a bit of Savage again. The killing of four Police Officers in Oakland sickens me.  But he too makes this fatal mistake and together with being a little crazy( I should talk) his broadcasts are uneven and flawed by free style boasting with no groove, rhymes, or dope lyrical content.
